Marble, Limestone and Travertine

Marble, limestone and travertine are naturally quarried rocks which are sanded down to a very smooth surface. The natural beauty of marble has been used in architecture for thousands of years. Marble, limestone and travertine are soft materials, and they must be sealed regularly to prevent wear and deterioration.

Cork

Cork flooring is made from the bark of the cork tree. It can be harvested without killing the tree. Cork is very soft underfoot, warm to the touch and has good sound-absorbing properties. The cost of cork can be high, but the price is coming down as it gains popularity.

Bamboo

Bamboo is a fast growing grass with engineered-wood–like properties. Because it is very fast growing, it is less destructive from an environmental perspective.

DuraCeramic

DuraCeramic is a man-made vinyl tile (normally 15”x15”) which is not cold to the touch, is softer underfoot, and offers an alternative to porcelain and ceramic tile.
