Hardwood, Tile, Carpet: A Complete Home Renovation

This was a floor installation done as part of a complete home renovation.

The challenge that the interior designer posed was to create a square-tiled front entrance, square in appearance to the walls (i.e.: the walls were not straight) and then install the hardwood so that the hardwood lines were parallel to the length of the room. Most walls are not square to each other or straight and when you are working with square material and creating dimensionally square features, it does pose a challenge.

We installed a plush nylon carpet over an underpad in both the living area and bedroom of this apartment.
